Welcome, and thank you for booking your Horses on the Beach experience

This briefing takes about five minutes in three short parts. Reading it before you arrive makes your ride smoother and safer, and it gives you more time with your horse on the day.

What to wear

• Closed-toe shoes are required. Boots or sneakers are perfect. No sandals or open toes.
• Long pants are strongly recommended to prevent chafing.
• Dress in layers for coastal weather. It is often cooler and windier at the beach than inland.

Helmets

• Every rider under 18 wears a helmet at all times, with no exceptions.
• Adults are strongly advised to wear one too. An adult may decline only by signing a helmet refusal agreement at check-in.
• Certified helmets are provided, so you do not need to bring your own.

Your phone

Bring your phone. Keep it in a zipped pocket while you ride, and take your pictures when the guide says it is a good moment, or hand it over and the guide will take them. The one thing we ask is that nobody rides with a phone in their hand while the horses are moving.
